Said that it was the US Government calling about a Federal Grant of $7,000 I was awarded. When I told them the line was using was a "Federal Line" and being "tapped' they hung up. Thanks to iPhone the number is now blocked.

My phone notified me that I had missed a call and this was the number listed as calling me. No message left so I decided to check it before I attempted to return the call. I'm glad that this website is here. Time will tell if they will try again. Thanks very much to those that have told their story here. I know what to expect if I accidentally answer the call.

Answered the phone call since I"m trying to open my own home business, Woman with a heavy accent and a LOT of noise in the background quickly said a company name that I did not catch asking for Jordan. I said This is. as I always do.
She repeats herself, only more ticked off when she says my name.
I said "This is Jordan."
She screams at me "You are not Jordan!" and hangs up. ...
Maybe because I'm Female.... Hmm that's a girls name too jackass.
Tried calling it back, got a busy tone. -- haven't heard that in a decade. -

Calls from Toronto, claims to be US govt and I was chosen for a grant. Bad accent. I told them, No, No, No, Take Me OFF Your List and DO NOT SHARE. They started yelling and I said "I have the ability to and I just traced your call and alerted your local authorities." they hung up. I have blocked this number.

Robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) do this all the time while trolling the phone lines seeking gullible schmucks to victimize.

Said they were from the government and I was being awarded $10,000 and started their spiel, I said to give the money to the homeless and remove my number from their list and hung up. They called back and asked why I hung up. I said we were done, he said that he wasn't done.I said yes you are,I don't want anything from you, remove my number and hung up again.
He called right back,I demanded to speak to him supervisor and told him that his rep was rude and called me 3 times after i told him to remove me.
I told him, I don't want anything from you, remove my number. You are not from MY government so stop calling. He kept trying to talk over me so I hung up. they called twice more from 100000000 then from this number to try and get me to answer. I put them all into immediate voicemail. Idiots. -

For the past two weeks I have received harassing phone scam calls. I have had to block them on my phone. I have gotten to the point to where I no longer pick up the phone but search the internet for their numbers to see if they have any negative feedback. This one has surely made that list. It is a scam.

Man called offering solar panels as a "government program." I politely told him we were not interested. He tried to get me to tell him why. I said it wasn't his business, asked them not to call again and hung up.
He called back! And started yelling saying he was not selling anything but it was a poll. But if we were interested and wanted pricing they had that. So, clearly, trying to present himself as selling something and calling back.
The offer was so vague that it was part threat (something about the government watching us) and part "limited time only."
Totally trying to scam people who don't know better. And rude and aggressive.

I was called and told my email address. I was told that my email was being hacked and being used collect my personal banking information. They said they were google. I informed him that I did not trust the caller, and if there was a way to verify who he was. He then hung up on me.

I have received a call from this number 3 times a day for the last three days. Just prior to or right after I get a call from this number, I get a call from an "unknown" number. Nobody ever answers when I pick up the phone or they hang up on me after I say "hello" twice. I am sick of this bs!

This number with caller ID Ontario, Canada tried to say they well calling on behalf of US Govt in DC. My name & number were randomly selected to receive $9,000.00 Grant from US Govt. As soon as I challenged her about call placed from DC location, with Ontario, Canada caller ID women with heavy India accent hung up. Scammers.. DO NOT TRUST !!!!

I received a couple of calls from this number. First time, some Indian guy tried to convince me that he is a licensed Microsoft rep. He told me that my newly bought computer has a virus and he can help me to remove it for free. He requested an access to my computer through some online program and started to explain me that my computer has some critical errors which must be fixed by Microsoft rep. He said that if I do not sign an insurance contract with him he will sue me. I got nervous because I felt that something was wrong with that. He still had an access to my computer through his online program, and in order to resume the access, I had to restart my laptop.
Second time, some girl called me from the number and stated that I won a grant for $7000. I asked what I should do in order to receive it, and she said that I have to pay $200 first. From then on, I have received numerous calls from different numbers. I do not know what to do, but I wish to stop it !

he called saying he's a certified microsoft technician, asking to speak with me. somehow he got a hold of my name and security ID on my computer (no fucking idea what it was) and was telling me he will explain steps to remove some shit from my computer. had a heavy indian accent so i didn't understand a fucking thing.

They called my elderly parent. They asked for me then asked her to do something on my computer - I don't have a computer but use one at the library. They then pressure my parent into giving them my cell number; however, they never called me. It should be noted we got this call after I tried to buy something on a Canadian website. I entered my name, address, and phone number, but the purchase was not made because my card was rejected.
I think the purpose of these calls it primarily to verify personal data (name, phone #, address) obtained from the internet by nefarious means. They sell this information to people search sites - THIS IS NOT A SCAM BUT A SPYING OPERATION. My advice: (1) DO NOT PICK UP A CALL FROM AN AREA CODE YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE. (2) DO NOT HAVE A VOICEMAIL/ANSWER MACHINE (AM) GREETING WITH YOUR OWN VOICE. A CAPTURE OF YOUR VOICE CAN BE USED TO DEVELOP YOUR PROFILE AND ALLOW YOUR IDENTIFICATION ON ANY OTHER PHONE. USE A STANDART GREETING OR A TAPPING SOUND INSTEAD.
