it looks like they are a fake debt collection company. they called me and had some personal info and started harassing me about paying a 51K debt for a credit card I don't have. I only have one card and i haven't used it in 5 years.
they wanted my address and social to confirm and i hung up. -

They call my work and cell number repeatedly and never leave a message. A legitimate collections agency would leave a message. WHen I do answer, they never say anything. Call back and they hang up. On the work voicemail, they let it go to voicemail and I can hear them on the computer typing away and never say a word. BOGUS

I DECIDED TO CALL BACK ONE DAY AND ASK WHO THEY ARE. SHE SAYS IN A VERY HARD ACCENT( MIDDLE EASTERN) THAT THEY ARE A REAL COMPANY AND TO WHOM AM I SPEAKING TO? I DID NOT GIVE HER MY REAL NAME. SHE THEN IMMEDIATELY GOES INTO TELLIN ME THE PERSON SHE IS LOOKING FOR FULL NAME AND SS#. I THEN SAID TO HER DO YOU NOT THINK THAT ALONE WHAT YOU JUST TOLD ME WAS A PRIVACY VIOLATION? SHE SAYS I WILL REMOVE YOUR NUMBER FROM THE LIST. OKAY THANK YOU, BUT HOWEVER YOU JUST DIVULGED INFO ABOUT ANOTHER PERSONS IDENTITY. SHE HANGS UP. NOT EVEN 10 MINUTES LATER ANOTHER CALL COMES IN. THIS IS ALL BETWEEN 8:30PM 9:00PM April 24, 2014.. They call me at 8am and throughout the entire day.. AGAIN DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION WHAT SO EVER.

These people carrying on this illegal activity and annoying people they PRETEND has "debt"...Let me tell you people something about debt collection. They BUY THEIR DEBT which means even if you DO have "debt," when they BUY that debt it is THEIR responsibility to answer for it, not yours. The original carrier of the debt sold YOUR obligation to THEM and THIS company is just a SCAM that has NO LEGAL RIGHT TO COLLECT ON THAT DEBT. After a debt is SOLD, YOU NO LONGER HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO PAY IT, REGARDLESS of the lies they try to feed you or how many phone calls they make to you. 100% SCAM. NEVER EVER give them your number or any personal information.

They blatantly violate the fair debt collections act and don't care. I got an attorney and with my phone logs I showed that they broke the law and when the attorney confronted them they admitted it and settled with me. They paid me $1,000 as well as paid my attotneys fee.

Calls 4 times a day or more sometimes minutes apart call is dB blocked but they leave no message. Call back either they hang up or give silent treatment but can hear someone in back. Getting pretty sick of these people will look forward to sueing them.

Midland Credit.They call 25 times a day - 7 days a week - all hours,day or night.It's only a matter of time before the Feds put these freaks out of business.

If it really is important they would have left a message the first time they called. I've been getting these calls many times a day but I NEVER answer a call unless I know who it is. This is getting freaking sickening! -

They call LITERALLY 3 Times a day. luckily I have call reject on my cell, which seems them to voicemail. The other posters are correct, if you answer You don't hear anything. (I answered the first time they called).I think they do this to MAKE you call THEM BACK. ..

call at 9am sharp- call up to 3 times a day 8am to 8pm. I have no idea why- I have no credit cards,just 1 checking acct and the usual monthly bills only with a paid off house and all. One day I accidentally answered and got silence and a hang up - but they immediately called back without msg. or word. Its 'crazymaking' harassment is gaslighting technique.

Phone rang. Picked up. No answer. Called number back. Phone rang for quite some time. Hung up and retried. Waited several minutes until someone finally picked up. Asked for someone who used our number. Said our number would be removed. We will see.
Asked where they were calling from. First response was "Midland Credit Management." Repeated, "Where are you calling from?" Response, "From one of our offices in India." "India?" I asked. Response, "Yes." -
