keep calling and asking about broadband and phones.. i have told them 4 times now that it is my parents that deal with that and that we are not interested. was told my number will be taken off the system... yet they keep calling!

they keep ringing me and asking for Harvey Jacobs, which is not me. after several times of asking them to take my number off the system they left me alone for 2 months then have just started calling me again. They soon hang up when they dont get what they want.

Rang my mobile which i answered this quite clearly through the guy on the end of the phone but he did have my name, quickly asked if i wanted to change my broadband provider when i said no im fine he just hung up .... very strange and felt very dodgy as he clearly wasnt expecting an answer.

Its a SCAM!!! SCAM!!!!! SCAM!!!!!! SCAM!!!!! SCAM!!!!!! SCAM!!!!! SCAM!!!!!! They ring briefly so you have no time to answer and got a missed call on your phone... You ring back because its a 0800 but its chargeable from your mobile! If you ring from a land line they will not answer personally but you will hear a recorded automated reply inviting you to press 1 to be removed from their list... That's the con plan: as soon as you press 1 your call is redirected and you pay for it!!!
MY ADVISE:
1) DON'T CALL BACK AND BLOCK THE NUMBER IF YOU CAN OR ADD IT TO THE REJECTION LIST;
- If you have an android phone download Mr.Number from google play store and put that number on it. Mr.Number is free and the one i have used to block many cold calling companies.
2) COMPLAIN IMMEDIATELY TO THE REGULATOR... You can complain to PhonepayPlus by:
- completing our online complaint form
- calling our free helpline on 0800 500 212 (open 9.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays)
- writing to FREEPOST RTJJ-RLGS-HRJK, PhonepayPlus, Clove Building, 4 Maguire Street, London, SE1 2NQ -

I'm moving house in a few days and Virgin, who I'm currently with, say that they may not be able to provide services to my new address and an engineer would contact me within a couple of days. This company rang me saying that Virgin had given them my number and they could get me a great deal. How they got my number and also know I'm moving I don't know! Misleading tricksters

The caller wanted to induce me to change my provider. He wanted to direct everything on the phone and its offerings sounded to be true too good. He was rude when I asked why you have to do everything now quickly on the phone.

When I called back 0800 number it gave me the option to have my number removed from their call list. No more calls!
