I actually got a hold of LG's support to verify this was an actual thing and not spam. They have contracted Goodman Networks to update the software on their refrigerators. This is not spam, but an actual company that is certified by LG to contact people and update their refrigerator's software.

She called to speak with my mother about her Comcast account.
I told them my mother passed away. They asked if anybody else in the home has a Comcast account. I gave them my first and last name.
They warned me that our data cap was dangerously close to running out (I doubled checked, I'm currently less than 1/10 used up). They asked if I've been having suspiciously high bills lately. She then offered a promotion for a 6 month unlimited data package (I wasn't told the price, but that would legitimately cost at least $550). I was very suspicious at this point, because I've hit my data cap before, and Comcast doesn't make this call, like ever. What they do is charge an overage fee up to $200 in 10 gigabyte packages, without telling the subscriber, and then they unlock unlimited data for the rest of the billing cycle. There is an option for unlimited data, but it's sold in 2 month packages (a month to activate, a month to cancel) and costs $30 a month.
I asked her, since she says I was dangerously close to reaching my data cap, how close I was. She asked me for account credentials so that she could confirm my identity. I said, you've got my mom's name, it's her account, you should know everything. She tried to get my account information again. I told her I'll look at my bill and call back if there's an issue. She politely said goodbye and hung up.Next of kin replied 11/9/22, 5:11 PMGot my math wrong. 6x30=$180. But if they were trying to act like it was a full internet bill with unlimited data on top of that, they'd likely be asking for around $550. If anybody actually talks with them long enough to get a price quote, please reply. I'm curious how much scam internet plans cost these days. -

Scam Call reported Spoofed call with the number +17128888575 as Harassment calls
Said they were from Comcast and could save me money on a cable package I do not have. Didn't know who I was, who they were calling, and kept trying to get personal details from me. Voice sounded weirdly like a robot.
