Charity scam. This idiot has been calling me for months, in spite of my efforts to get off his list.
When I called and spoke to him, he called me a "f***ng n****r," which is bad enough, but even more confusing since I'm not African-American. That was all I needed to know this is not a legit operation.
I recommend you do what I did: Call the Illinois Attorney General's Office, Charitable Trust Bureau, 312-814-2595. They will ask you to send them a letter or an email detailing the calls and your concerns. It only took a few minutes, and hopefully will get this guy off the streets.

has called me for 3 years once a week , will not put no. on the list , laughs and calls you names if you get him on the phone with his same annoying voice as the recording , thinks its all a joke , keeps begging me for donations. as if i would give this scam / bottom feeder / animal my used toilet water. but the law lets him steal money on behalf of his current charity . so if he calls you file a complaint with michigan state attn. or ill state attn. maybe some day they can catch this p.o.s .. and we can take our landlines back ....

I once tried to get off the caller list by pressing the number that was given to be taken off list I,, pressed.. it and did not work I have received numerous calls from these people.
Today it rang again, so, push the number to donate....it was obvious the other way isn't working. A kid or immature Man or maybe a he woman answered the phone, How may I help you very nice?. I said I wanted to be taken off the list...his or her response was FUCK YOU your off he or she hung up by slamming down the phone end of conversation. my next call state's attorney general office -

months AFTER I requested to be placed on their
do not call list YOU CAN PRESS 9 DURING their
recorded message OR you can press 1 to speak to
a rep.
Today I pressed 1 and when a REP answered I
told him that they have called me over 10 times
in the last few months DESPITE me pressing 9
(placed on do not call) Before I could finish
the rep Call me a F'n A-hole and a few other
choice words then hung up. I called back and he
started swearing again then hung up - I CALLED
AGAIN and got VM so I left a message.
NO CHARITY would ever respond in this manner SO
I CONCLUDE that these calls are a SCAM to STEAL

I've been called SIX TIMES by this number since April 2014, the most recent time being today (July 17, 2014) at 1:48 P.M. CT. I'd ask to be taken off their calling list, but as I've come to learn, they don't comply anyway. Not only that, but if one wishes to talk to a live human being on the other end, one will be met by one of the rudest, most obnoxious people one could ever "hope" to talk to.
Somebody needs to shut this organization down once and for all. If they were a LEGITIMATE charity as they claim to be, why would they continue to call the same number over and over when they know they'll only be turned away by the person they're trying to call? Why not have the donators come to them? -

Got at least our 4th call from this number on July 9th. Called the number back, got a live person, and asked to be taken off the list. He said he would do that, but I just got another call today July 12th. If you're going to run a successful scam, you don't want to seriously aggravate a large number of people. You should make sure the number 9 button to remove numbers from the call list really works.

Has called us five times over the course of three months (April 16, 2014 @ 10:08 A.M. to June 30, 2014 @ 10:54 A.M.) asking for donations. We have nothing to give, so I don't bother answering. You'd think the people running this organization would get the hint by now and take us off their calling list.

Called @ 4:45 P.M. CT on August 16, 2014. We didn't answer, having received six calls from this number already, and they left no message on our answering machine, either.
If we had something to donate to ANY charity, we would have done so directly and not on account of a suspicious phone call from some organization we've never heard of before--especially one as notorious as this. Honestly, with all the negative feedback this phone number and the people behind it have received, you'd think someone would have shut them down by now.
