   A man called me from unknown number and said he was from Customs and Border Protection and his name. He told me that they had a shipment of drugs and money with my address. Gave me his badge id and case id. Then the call was dropped, he called back from this number (915-730-7000) and demanded a reason I hung up, I explained I didn’t. He asked me to read back his info and told me that it was Identity theft and they had many accounts in my name in many banks (he listed about 6-7), with transfers of huge amounts to and from them. Tomorrow two US Marshals were supposedly coming to my home to talk to me. But now they were closing my SSN and issuing the new one. And they had to contact all my accounts to give them the new SSN so he asked to verify the bank information so that only my accounts remain open and they could catch the criminals. I told him I was not comfortable giving personal information over the phone and I’d talk to Marshals tomorrow. He threatened I was not cooperating. He told me to look up his phone number online and it lead to a website with a name of “Customs and Border Protection“ but the address was weird (https://pdnuno.com/about/stakeholders/u-s-customs-border-protection) I opened the real website and asked him what number I could call from this website to reach him. He told me again to call the number he told me and when I repeated my question he got angry and threatened again that I was not cooperating and my SSN will be closed. I told again that I speak to Marshals the following day or I can come into the office for a talk. He hung up.
