Well i thought it was a scam. Actually a legit company. Helped an easier process with my car accident. Anyone who says they are a scam is lying. Legit company. They even have a website if you would take the time to look them up. You put your birthday on Facebook shouldn't be problem to only give out a date of birth. smh at the ignorance.

Avectus/Cognizant is definitely NOT a scam. If you call your provider (hospital for those unable to comprehend) they can verify affiliation with them as they work ON BEHALF OF THE PROVIDER. Anyone that says the provider denies affiliation is lying.

They keep calling my husband on behalf of a hospital but I called hospital & they know nothing about it. But we have plenty of insurance as it is Medicare, Federal BC/BS, and Tricare for life. So I don't think need their services but they refuse to speak to me only him. They tried calling him immediately after surgery & I returned call & they wouldn't speak to me but mentioned a lawsuit to him, so I blocked their number. We are suing anyone especially doctors that saved his life.

All Avectus Healthcare Solutions does is coordinate third party insurance on behalf of 300+ hospitals across the US. They collect accident details and third part insurance information on behalf of the provider. Once they have the insurance info they call your insurance and make sure your bill is sent to the responsible party. Then they follow up every 30 days with the insurance until the bill is paid. They are not a scam, just trying to help people get their bills paid. If you receive a call from Avectus and are hesitant to call and provide info, just call the provider and they will transfer you straight to them. They work on behalf of the hospitals, also deal with patient's attorney, insurance adjusters, and grant reductions on ER bills if needed. NOT A SCAM!

I was sent a no postage necessary envelope with a questionnaire. Now I don't know if I should send it in :/ I received a vm from a 662 area code and she seemed very professional. I'll just call the hospital to see if they use AVECTUS. Can't trust anyone OMG !!

they are a third party company for hospitals/ER's when someone does not have insurance OR has liability insurance. They are not scammers

This caller keeps on calling repeatedly leaving messages I can not heard or understand. I have 80% hearing loss, so my husband has told me that they are asking for a Brandon Smith. I do NOT know, or ever heard of a Brandon Smith. I only had this phone number since November, 2014. Maybe, this Brandon Smith had it before me, but he does NOT have it now!! I have been unable to find an email address of this caller, plus their web site does NOT work. Upon doing research on whom this caller is or are, I find multi-findings. One finding shows the caller as BUSTER LIPFORD, 1311 FOOTE STREET, CORINTH, MS 38834. While another finding shows it as MEDPAY ASSURANCE, AVECTUS HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS, LLC, 602 EAST WALDRON STREET, CORINTH, MA 38834. Then even another finding shows it as being from Effective Selfcare Solutions, d/b/a AVECTUS HEALTH CARE SOLUTIONS FINANCIAL SERVICES, LLC, (aka Tim B Smith), P.O. Box 1495, 503 CRUISE STREET, CORINTH, MS 38834-4814. Whomever this caller is, I have never done any business with them, or even heard of them before.

The Caller ID only showed it as being from OUT-of-AREA only. This caller calls at all hours of the day or night repeatedly. Sometimes they leave a message on my answering machine, other times they just hang-up instead. I am not able to hear or understand their message(s). But when they call yesterday a 4:32pm CST, they did state requesting extension # 1488. Upon doing research on whom this caller is or are, I find multi-findings. One finding shows the caller as BUSTER LIPFORD, 1311 FOOTE STREET, CORINTH, MS 38834. While another finding shows it as MEDPAY ASSURANCE, AVECTUS HEALTH CARE SOLUTIONS, LLC, 602 EAST WALDRON STREET, CORINTH, MA 38834. Then even another finding shows it as being from AVECTUS HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS FINANCIAL SERVICES, LLC, EFFECTIVE SELFCARE SOLUTIONS, 503 CRUISE STREET, CORINTH, MS 38834-4814. Whomever this caller is, I have never done any business with them, or even heard of them before.

They sound like lawyers. They act like lawyers. And -- surprise! -- they ARE lawyers. Their website says that they're "coordinating third party liability and workers’ compensation accounts for hospitals and trauma centers throughout the Southeastern region of the United States." Be nice if they'd have given my insurance company half a chance to pay the bill before they started tele-stalking me, trying to get details about the accident.

This number appears to belong to a telemarketer or scammer. I was called by them very early in the a.m., they had my name, I acknowledged I was that person, and they demanded that I "verify" my birthdate. They did not apparently have my birthdate. I refused to give it and entered into a series of strange conversations with people who were apparently scammers in that they claimed to be in Mississippi but gave Pacific time zone times, gave excuses for demanding my personal info, and as the finale, I called my health care provider who they claimed to represent, but the health care provider denied any association with them. They made many attempts to get personal info which appeared designed to enable identity theft.
