They called me about refilling my medications. Seemed fishy at first but then I called the real blue cross number and they confirmed the number is from their pharmacy department reminding me that my medications are running low.

Called me asking about my medications. I asked them what medications and they asked to verify my date of birth & zip code. I was nervous but did it anyways and then they confirmed one of the meds I was on and said it was running low. (It was.) So then they offered to call my pharmacy on my behalf. I asked them what’s my pharmacy and doctor and they knew it so that helped me trust that it’s a real blue cross blue shield of michigan number. I told them they seemed suspicious at first and they said they get that a lot and that anyone they call can call the number on their id card to confirm their validity. I did that after the call and sure enough it worked. Blue Cross verified their legitimacy. Thankful for the calls honestly. It’s a kind service for those of us who are a bit forgetful sometimes.

called to remind me about my prescriptions running low; very grateful for the call. they did ask me to confirm a couple things but once i did they verified some stuff about my prescriptions, pharmacy & doctor that I know scammers wouldn't be able to get ahold of. trusting of bcbsm. called the number on the back of my blue cross id card to confirm and they told me its a real number from them.
