Guy called saying he was with "Farmers Insurance" Pronounced my name correctly so he must be Russian or Romanian. Reported this number to fraud dept. at Farmers Insurance. I've never heard my name pronounced correctly by any other sales caller before, it was a shock!

This person has called me twice. The first time I talked with them I let them explain their scam. They said they were in the refund department for a software or computer company that is going out of business (I do not own a computer) I let them say what they had to say. Told them they called the wrong person That I was not stupid and they weren't going to scam me. This was 7 months ago. They called again today, I told them they have already tried to scam me, to stop calling me and if they called again I would be making a former complaint with law enforcement ( I know they can't do anything but it gets the scammers to stop calling) Needless to say, if this number calls you, they are scammers. Just trying to get your info and money.

Oh my. Over the weekend I was slammed with strange calls. First lots of calls and hangups from 408-310-4473 and 818-477-4380 and 818-428-1768 all on Saturday. And then today many calls from this number 661-748-0240. Interesting they are all from California. I don't answer any caller I don't know. All of these numbers are connected in a strange way. Also got a call on Saturday from a glass replacement company in CA that is asking about my broken glass and suggested I call them back. I don't have broken glass and have no business in that state. A strange roll of events from scams. I don't answer calls.

This phone number is likely a number used when someone is trying to call you anonymously. I received a call from this number and it was the Louisiana Department of Child Support Services. The call was legit. Of course anytime you get a call from a unknown number, you should be concerned and used caution.

I'm not calling my friends and cousins to scam them! Honest! That's just the number that shows up if you use Skype to make the call. ANYBODY can call anybody else around the world for very low cost using Skype, including scammers as well as legitimate callers. Please dont tar the whole road when there's just a few bad spots that need patching! Of course, if you're not expecting a Skype call from a specific person, you won't know until you pick up the phone. But so long as you're smart enough to not give a complete stranger your banking information or on-line access to your computer, you won't have a problem. If it's not a legit call, just hang up. There's no way to trace these calls. -

They insulted me saying that my website is, cough, cough not ranking well on Google. We are an SEO company. Choke. I told him we are ranking well on all our industry keywords. He says "good luck." Yeah, good luck to you, too scammer.

These moron pigs used to call us several times several months ago but we stopped answering calls with Unknown Name, Private Caller, etc., etc., etc. These pigs would sometimes call @ 4:00 am, 2:00 am, and leave a message to return their call which we never did. Then the calls stopped so we thought one dimwit, nincompoop moron off the list of these worthless calls. But the morons have started calling back. Called @ 5:40 pm on 11/3, 10:18 am on 11/4. Of course, they don't leave a message because they think we are as stupid as they are and will try to call their stupid skype call !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the crap we have to go thru every day as business owners with the phone line that we have to pay for each month to AT&T !!!!!!!!!! These people seemt to be tracking social media sites and picking up on complaints posted there. It does somewhat disturb me that they were able to find and call me on my cell phone. Fortunately, they are complete morons so it wasnt hard to figure out it was a scam. If you get called within a short period after posting on FB or Twitter, always be wary.

The number 661-748-0240 comes up for anyone that is using Skype to make calls if you did not buy a personal number from Skype.
I use Skype sometimes to call my relatives in other states and they always say this is the number that shows I am calling from. I am sure scammers if they know about it always use Skype to keep from being traced, but not everyone making a call from Skype is a scammer or worse :)
