   I received a call from this number and immediately looked it up and found this site. A message was left, but when I listened to it, it was from someone I know who travels a lot and was probably using Skype to make phone calls. I don't know how Skype works, but a call from this number might not be spam.

   I received a call from that number about 15 minutes ago#661-748-0241 they claimed to be from the state department. he continued not making sense so I hungup!!

   This number keeps calling my work stating they are from Alliance Security and that they need to speak to the GM. They refuse to leave a voicemail.

   Have received many calls from this number late at night asking to "park my car in your garage", "Put my hotdog in your taco", etc. Congratulations! This caller is making money for Century link now that we have to purchase "services" to ID the caller and block calls.

   He knew my legal name. I also have an unlisted phone number and am on the do not call list. He said he was calling about a payment that I made in Feb. of last year about my computer maintenance program. He also called yesterday, but I was not home. Did not leave a message then. Caller ID says that it was a Skype Caller. He has an Indian accent and the connection was not good, so I could barely understand him. I told him so and asked him to send me an email. He said he would. He politely hung up. I do not shop at Target, but I did charge at Kohl's. He never sent me an email like he said he would.

    This is a default Skype Outbound number for those whom have not yet setup or connected a phone number to a Skype account. It is often used by scammers who setup random Skype accounts and then make calls.

    caller ID listed the call as "SKYPE CALLER" didn't answer - never seen that before. Called back again but doesn't leaving a message ... anyone else have this happen?

    got prank called 4x. new it was a prank call (random crap). 1/4 times the number appeared (they dont kno that). i could also hear them laughing in the background. one of my voicemails caught them making a prank call (hear both ends of the call. deleted)

    Just got a call from some woman who said she's from Microsoft. It's the same as Hitch wrote - she said that they found a virus on my computer or rather that my computer notified them and that they were trying to fix it. I didn't see anything wrong with my computer, so I said thank you and hung up. Wonder how they even get your number?

    Had a call from this number yesterday. There was a man who claimed to be from Microsoft on the other end of the line and said that my computer had been infected by a virus and that he called to fix the problem. He asked me to go my computer and click start and to type in CMD or something like that. I said, that it wasn't really a good time for me and that I'd call back later (with no intention of doing so) and just hung up.

    This number is very obviously used for various types of scams. My roommate picked up the first one, mistaking this number for another one, and the caller asked to speak to someone about our energy needs. She politely rejected any kind of offer and then hung up. A few days later, I pick up - not knowing it was the very same number that bothered her - and this time, it's someone claiming to be from Microsoft and telling me he had received a critical error message from my server. Supposedly, there is some kind of virus loose on my computer and there was this and that to do and this and that sum to pay for it. Unfortunately for him, I was all out of polite that day so I just hung up without further comment.
